If you are headed out to the 40th annual Winnipeg Folk Festival today through Sunday at Birds Hill Provincial Park, the weather will be music to your ears.

Except for a slight chance of a thunderstorm later today and the possibility of a shower Friday, it’s looking good.

Environment Canada’s forecast says there will be a mix of sun and cloud today and a high of 27 C. On Thursday, it will be be sunny and windy. There will be a high of 30 C with a south wind of 20 km/h picking up to 40 and gusting to 60 later in the day.

Rain is expected on Friday with a high of 26 C.

A warm weekend is forecast at this point. A sunny day and a high of 29 C on Saturday is expected while Sunday will have a high of 26 C with some clouds.

Early in the new work week, it’s going to be a scorcher. Highs of 29 C and sun are expected on Monday and Tuesday.
