If you’ve always dreamed of holding an Olympic gold medal, now’s your chance.
Several members of Canada’s women’s curling team are coming to the Winnipeg Free Press News Café today at noon.
Details are still being finalized but it looks as though Dawn McEwen (lead), Jill Officer (second) and Kaitlyn Lawes (third) will visit for an interview. Skip Jennifer Jones may be on her way to Ontario to pick up her infant daughter, Isabella.
The Jones rink, which curls out of the St. Vital Curling Club, ran the table in Sochi, culminating with a 6-3 victory over Sweden last Thursday.
The curlers will also be signing autographs and posing for pictures at the café, located at 237 McDermot Avenue.
The team arrived back in Winnipeg to a hero’s welcome at James Armstrong Richardson International Airport Monday night.
If you can’t make it down to the News Café, you can watch a live stream of the interview here.
