The number of reported UFO sightings in Canada soared again in 2013.
Canadians reported 1,180 UFO sightings last year, a total that’s second only to the 1,981 sightings in 2012 for the most in the 25-year history of the annual Canadian UFO survey.
The 36-page report, produced by Ufology Research and edited by Winnipegger Chris Rutkowski, said there were an average of about three sightings per day.
More than 40 per cent of the UFO sightings were in Ontario while the typical UFO sighting lasted about 13 minutes.
As well, while more than half of all sightings are “simple lights in the sky”, some are definite shapes.
Ufology Research said many of the witnesses are “pilots, police and other individuals with reasonably good observing capabilities and good judgment”.
