TORONTO — Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck has decided to skip his final two years of college hockey and sign with the Winnipeg Jets.
The 20-year-old from Commerce, Mich., had an outstanding two years with the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, leading his team to the Frozen Four last year and to the final eight this year. His goals-against average in his two seasons were 1.37 and 1.79.
Hellebuyck was drafted in the fifth round of 2012.
