The Winnipeg Blue Bombers are tapping into some CFL experience to guide the linebacking corps this season.
The CFL club officially announced the hiring of Cory McDiarmid as linebacker coach this morning. It is McDiarmid’s second go around in the Winnipeg coaching ranks, having served as the club’s special teams coach in 2006-08.
McDiarmid has coached in various capacities around the league, with stops in Montreal, Calgary, Toronto, and B.C. He spent last season as a special teams assistant with the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

McDiarmid coached 10 seasons in the CFL, making three trips to the Grey Cup, winning the CFL championship in 2000.
