The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have braced themselves for a hit in their season-ticket sales, but have still cracked the 20,000 mark with training camp still a month away.
“We are very pleased with the pace we’re moving at in terms of season tickets for 2014,” said Bomber President and CEO Wade Miller said in a press release Thursday. “We anticipated heading into this year that we would see a bit of a drop off as people purchased season tickets to see the new stadium last season. But we are pleased with the progress, and we are on target to hit the numbers we were expecting.”
As outlined in the Free Press today, Miller said the projected dropoff in numbers is represented in their 2014 budget, so the drop in season-ticket numbers won’t affect the club’s bottom line.
The Bombers also announced they will hold their annual Fan Forum on May 12 in the Pinnacle Club at Investors Group Field at 7 pm. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Fans are asked to enter through the Bomber Store. Free parking is available in the lot immediately outside the Store.
