If there is one regret about the upcoming Junior Achievement Hall of Fame gala dinner on May 22, it’s that one inductee won’t be there in person.
R.M. (Bob) Chipman, who built a business dynasty after starting out with a single car dealership in 1963, lost his battle with bone cancer last September.
Today, Megill-Stephenson is a behemoth with diversified business interests in the automotive, real estate, construction, sports and entertainment and financial services industries.
You may have heard about his family’s purchase of the Atlanta Thrashers nearly three years ago.
Chipman’s eldest son, Steve, will drop by the Winnipeg Free Press News Café on Tuesday at 11:15 a.m. to discuss the honour and the impact his father’s legacy continues to have on him and his siblings.
