Mayoral candidate Gordon Warren has formally pulled out of the mayor’s race.
Gordon’s candidacy has been literally stroked from the list of candidates on the city clerk’s website, as of May 26.
Gordon, 49, is a controversial local blogger who was sued for libel last summer by the Shindleman brothers and a local marketing firm over allegations he made against them.
City hall observers are still waiting to see when Judy Wasylycia-Leis will enter the mayor’s race and if Sam Katz will run.
Other registered candidates for mayor are: Coun. Paula Havixbeck, lawyer and former councillor Gord Steeves, lawyer Brian Bowman, university administrator Robert-Falcon Ouellette, funeral home operator Mike Vogiatzakis, and exotic dancer booking agent Michel Fillion.
