The Winnipeg Jets are about to get busy for the 2014-15 NHL season.
The team announced today the schedule for their 2014 training camp, which opens with medicals and physicals on Thursday and will feature the first on-ice session a day later.
Camp will run at both MTS Centre and MTS Iceplex from Thursday, Sept. 18 until Tuesday, Oct. 7 and feature seven exhibition games before the real season opens on Thursday, Oct. 9th in Phoenix. Camp sessions at MTS Iceplex, including Saturday’s Fan Fest, are open to the public but practices at MTS Centre are not.

The preseason begins this Monday when the Jets play host to the Minnesota Wild, followed by a visit by the Edmonton Oilers on Sept. 24th. The Jets are then in Minny and Edmonton on Sept. 27th and 29th, respectively, and face the Ottawa Senators at home on Sept. 30th before a home and home with the Calgary Flames on Oct. 2nd and 4th.
The Jets also re-assigned six players today; sending Chase Balisy, Jean Dupuy, Ben Walker, Zach Bell and Ralfs Freibergs to St. John’s and Nikolas Brouillard to Quebec of the QMJHL.
