Hey there, time traveller!

There are nine starting quarterback positions in the CFL and Drew Willy has one of them and he fully intends to exercise his rights as such and play as many downs as his coach will allow.
Willy says this Saturday’s game against the Calgary Stampeders is his to play and he plans on taking advantage of the opportunity and learning as much as possible.
“It’s important for me just to keep getting experience, you know being a younger quarterback in the league, getting as many starts as possible especially against a good defence, you know it can only help my growth as a quarterback,” said Willy. “So for me it just comes down to getting more reps, making sure we end the season on a high note, get some momentum and go out there and try to get a win.”
Willy be starting his 16th game of the season and 20th of his career on Saturday. He enters the weekend action with 3,747 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and 16 interceptions.
“I had to wait my turn and you have to be a backup first or whatever the situation calls for,” said Willy. “When you get the chance to start you want to take full advantage because tomorrow is not promised to any of us.”
Willy says there were lots of lessons to be learned in last week’s loss to the B.C. Lions.
“I’d like to be better for sure from the decision making stand point and I just have to keep learning and try to this offseason to do everything I can to just become a whole quarterback,” said Willy. “I think there’s a time and place you learn from every game but obviously last week hurts more. But as a quarterback you have to move on to the next week. In the offseason you definitely want to work on your weaknesses. Peyton Manning, he was always talking about, practise your weakness. Don’t go over the routes that you know you’re great at throwing. Go out there and throw stuff you your not as comfortable doing.”
Veteran offensive lineman Glenn January did not practice today.
