Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Free Press is working with the University of Winnipeg Foundation to fund a bursary in honor of late columnist Lindor Reynolds and her passion to protect the rights of children in the care of the child welfare system.
The Lindor Reynolds Youth in Care Tuition Waiver Bursary will cover tuition costs for students who were kids in care. Child welfare was one of Reynold’s abiding interests as an award-winning columnist.
“Lindor cared deeply about the plight of children in the care of CFS,” Free press editor Paul Samyn said in a statement Wednesday.

“I know she would be delighted to learn that she and her alma mater will be making a difference by giving those kids an educational opportunity that will make a difference in their lives,” Samyn said.
Reynolds died earlier this month after a 15-month battle with cancer. She was 56.
A crowdsourcing appeal went up on the foundation’s website this week with an initial goal to raise a $10,000 between now and Jan. 27, 2015. Click here to contribute or to learn more.
