MOOSE JAW, Sask. – Another win on Monday morning, and Jennifer Jones was one more step closer in her hunt for her fifth Canadian curling championship.

In the morning draw, Jones toppled Newfoundland-Labrador’s Heather Strong, a 12-time provincial champion. The 9-3 win, which was sealed by a huge five-point steal in the seventh end, now sees Jones sit undefeated through four matches at the 2015 Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

So far, the reigning Olympic champions have also wrapped up Ontario’s Julie Hastings and B.C.’s Patti Knezevic, and curled a crisp Sunday night win against Saskatchewan’s Stefanie Lawton.

But tonight, Jones and her Manitoba team of third Kaitlyn Lawes, second Jill Officer and lead Dawn McEwen will face what will likely be their biggest test of the round robin.

The foursome are set to play skip Rachel Homan and her two-time defending champion Team Canada, with the game time set for 7 p.m. at Moose Jaw’s Mosaic Place. Homan’s rink is also undefeated through three games, while they also play at 2 p.m. against Team B.C.

Tonight’s Jones-Homan match-up could be the most hotly anticipated of the round robin, a rematch of the 2013 final – which Homan won – and a possible preview of the favoured Scotties final match-up this time around. Safe bet that the game will be broadcast on TSN.

After this game, Team Manitoba’s draw sees them facing mostly lower-ranked competitors. On Friday morning, in the last draw of the round robin, they’ll play Alberta’s Team Val Sweeting, a top playoff contender who was undefeated through her first three games.
