Here comes a mixed bad… sun, rain, thunder and lightning. But all of that’s packed into a single day on the holiday weekend.

We have sunny breaks Friday and a high of 17 C with a low overnight of 6 C.

Saturday is when the action starts. We’re told by Environment Canada to expect a fairly bright sky early in the day before the clouds roll in and showers start, with a risk of thunder in the afternoon and a high of 19 C

WAYNE GLOWACKI / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS Blazing sunshine early Friday morning reflects on the wet street of Broadway -- but more rain is in the forecast for the weekend.

Sunday, if you’re packing up a tent somewhere, you’ll be doing it in rainy, windy weather. The high is forecast for 7 C, low overnight is -2 C.

The sun comes back Monday but the high is stuck at 6 C, with a low overnight at 0 C.

After the holiday, we have sun and highs that build up from 15 C to 22 C the rest of the week.
