The top five seeds are set for next week’s Manitoba women’s curling championship.

Kristy McDonald will lead the pack in Beausejour, coming into the provincials as top seed. On her tail is Kerri Einarson, the two-time provincial finalist who expanded her horizon with her grand slam debut this year.

Rounding out the top five are third seed Barb Spencer, fourth-ranked Michelle Montford, and fifth seed Darcy Robertson.

Kristy McDonald is coming into the provincials as top seed.

This year’s tournament in Beausejour could be one of the most wide open in years, with Jennifer Jones already assured a national berth as Team Canada and Chelsea Carey moved to Alberta.

But Jennifer Jones will be in Beausejour, even if not on the ice: on Friday, the Olympic champion rink has volunteered to come out and host a meet’n’greet and autograph signing.
