The Winnipeg Jets suffered a 4-1 loss to the Nashville Predators Thursday night.
An empty net forth goal by Preds’ Calle Järnkrok sealed the deal after James Neal potted Nashville’s third goal 18:08 into the third frame.
In the first period, Nikolaj Ehlers opened the scoring, making no mistake on a breakaway for his ninth of the year to give the Jets an early 1-0 lead just four minutes 16 seconds into the game. But The Predators responded later in the frame with a power-play marker from Ryan Johansen, who banged home a puck at the side of the net for his ninth goal of season.

The Predators would take a 2-1 lead in the second period, this time with a goal from Craig Smith. Smith wired a shot top-corner from the left side of the net, beating Connor Hellebuyck for his 10th of the year.
Despite the lopsided scoreboard, shot were neck and neck at 28-27 in slight favour of Winnipeg.
