Hey there, time traveller!

DENVER – The mission now for the Winnipeg Jets is simple: stop the bleeding of a skid that has seen them lose two straight and five of their last six.
Or… just let this thing bleed out until the National Hockey League Draft Lottery after the regular season.
The Jets, still stinging from Friday’s 5-3 home loss to the Carolina Hurricanes, begin a stretch that will see them play eight of their next 10 on the road tonight at the Pepsi Center against the Colorado Avalanche (9 p.m.; Sportsnet/TSN1290).

Winnipeg, now 22-26-3, remains nine points behind Nashville for the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference, but is now also tied with five other teams – including Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Buffalo and Columbus — for the lowest point total in the entire league.
The Jets will not hold a pre-game skate in Denver today, so it’s uncertain whether coach Paul Maurice will hand the starting goaltender chores back to Connor Hellebuyck – he was yanked in Friday’s loss after giving up three goals on six shots – or turn to Michael Hutchinson, who was steady in relief.
Semyon Varlamov will get the nod in the Avalanche net. Colorado is 5-2-1 in its last eight and holds the first wild-card spot in the Western Conference – 11 points up on the Jets, who do have three games in hand.
The Avs are undergoing some line juggling, moving Jarome Iginla off the top line with Matt Duchene and Nathan MacKinnon to a unit that features Alex Tanguay and center John Mitchell. Mikhail Grigorenko is now on the top trio with MacKinnon and Duchene. As well, former Jets defenceman Zach Redmond will not be in the lineup and has been replaced by Andrew Bodnarchuk.
