The Winnipeg Jets fell to the Florida Panthers, 3-1, at BB&T Center Saturday night.
A Nikolaj Ehlers power-play put the Jets up 1-0 after one period of play. The Jets sent nine shots toward Florida goaltender Roberto Luongo while the Panthers fired 11 on Jets goalie Michael Hutchinson after 20 minutes.
The Panthers tied the score at 1-1 with a goal from young upstart Jaromir Jagr early in the second period. The Jets had eight shots to the Panthers seven in the second period for a grand total of 18- 17 in favour of the Panthers.

Flroida outscored the Jets 2-0 in the third with goals from Jagr and Reilly Smith to win the game 3-1, ending another fruitless outing from the Jets.
