Hey there, time traveller!

The Jets trail the Flames 3-1 after two periods of play at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.
Joe Colborne opened the scoring five minutes 38 seconds into the game with his 14th. Michael Frolik would double the lead at the 12:48 mark of the first frame before Calgary added their third on the power play late in the period with a goal from Sean Monahan, who collected his 24th goal of the season.
The Jets cut the lead to 3-1 with the lone goal in the second after Blake Wheeler set up Drew Stafford for his for his 19th of the year and second goal in the last three games.
Ondrej Pavelec has 14 saves through two periods, while Joni Ortio has stopped 18 of the Jets’ 19 shots.
Though still a big hill to climb – the Jets are 1-24-3 when trailing after two periods – a win for the Jets tonight would earn them heir first three-game winning streak of the season. Winnipeg enters the game following wins over the Colorado Avalanche and most recently, a 5-2 victory over Vancouver Monday night.
It’s the third game and final game of the season between these two clubs, both of whom share identical records of 29-35-5. The season series is tied 1-1.
About the flames
Calgary is coming off a 7-4 win over St. Louis Monday that snapped the Blues’ six-game win streak. Ex-Jet Michael Frolik led the Flames with a hat trick, including two while short-handed. That was the first time a Calgary player had scored twice while down a man since Cory Stillman on Jan. 9, 1998.
Flames forward Mikael Baklund picked up an assist in the win over the Blues and has six points in seven games in March. He is now just two points shy of his career high of 39, set in 2013-14.
Calgary’s power play is ranked only slightly better than the Jets, 28th overall, at 15.7 per cent. The Jets are 29th at 15.4. The Flames’ penalty kill is dead last at 74.2 per cent.
New D-man Jyrki Jokipakka, acquired at the trade deadline from Dallas, has seen his ice time top the 20-minute mark two of his last three games. He was just under 18 minutes in Monday’s win over the Blues.
Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau was tied for fifth in NHL scoring with Sidney Crosby (heading into Tuesday’s action) with 26 goals and 43 assists. Mark Giordano is among the NHL’s Top 10 D scorers, with 17 goals and 28 assists.
