There’s a new patient in the Winnipeg Jets’ swelling MASH unit, forcing the club to make yet another recall from their Manitoba Moose AHL affiliate.
Centre Nic Petan will be on the roster that takes on the Chicago Blackhawks Friday at the MTS Centre.
Petan has been recalled under emergency conditions, likely as a result of an injury to forward J.C. Lipon, who was unable to complete Wednesday’s 4-1 loss in Calgary.

Petan, the Jets’ second-round pick in the 2013 draft, started the season with the Jets, suiting up for 14 games and notching his first NHL goal before being assigned to the Moose.
The Jets also announced today that emergency call-up D-man Julian Melchiori, who played Monday in Vancouver, is being re-assigned to the Moose. tim.campbell@freepress.mb.ca
