Evacuation orders for Beresford Lake and Wallace Lake will be lifted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Manitoba officials have announced.

Residents and cottagers forced to evacuate Caddy Lake and West Hawk Lake, and the Ontario community of Ingolf, have been able to return since 8 a.m. today, provided they have identification which verifies they have a home or cottage in the affected area.

Meanwhile, the province said, evacuation restrictions remain in place for Florence and Nora lakes.

Provincial Road 312 will open completely for normal use at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The road from Highway 44 between Caddy and West Hawk lakes, which runs to the border and then to Ingolf, has at times been completely closed, and in recent days has been open only for one kilometre east of Highway 44.

The McGillivray Falls trail off Highway 44 north of Caddy Lake, and the Hunt Lake trail near West Hawk, are open again, but the Mantario Trail remains closed.

The province has listed all travel, burning permit restrictions for eastern, central and western Manitoba, but RMs have the final say.
