The Winnipeg Jets re-signed defenceman Brenden Kichton to a one-year, two-way deal on Friday.

Kichton, 24, paced the Manitoba Moose last season with 11 goals and 41 points in 68 games played with the Jets’ American Hockey League affiliate.

Kichton, from Spruce Grove, Alta., was called up to the big club twice last season, but didn’t see game action.

In three professional seasons in the minors, Kichton has 22 goals and 89 assists in 209 games.

Kichton was originally drafted by the Jets in the seventh round, 190th overall, in 2013.
