The Winnipeg Blue Bombers dropped their second straight game on Friday night, falling 40-26 to the Edmonton Eskimos at at Investors Group Field.

FOURTH QUARTER

Sean Whyte increased the Esks lead to 29-13 before the Bombers found some life offensively in the fourth quarter.

Nichols found Clarence Denmark 36-yards out to cut the deficit to 10 points after the Bombers failed to convert on a two-point attempt.

After the Esks conceded the rouge on a Medlock kickoff, the Bombers marched 22 yards on their next possession, setting up a Medlock 38-yard field goal to put the Bombers within a touchdown down 29-23.

Whyte and Medlock exchanges field goals in the late stages of the quarter before Reilly found Derel Walker 61-yards downfield to put the final nail in the Bombers’ coffin.

THIRD QUARTER

The Bombers head into the final quarter down 26-13 to the Edmonton Eskimos.

Medlock provided the only scoring for Winnipeg in the third quarter. His 23-yard field goal cut the Eskimos lead to 24-13, but the Bombers would only be able to cut into the lead by one point after surrendering a safety late in the frame.

SECOND QUARTER

White rushed for his second touchdown of the game late in the second quarter to give the Eskimos a 24-10 lead over the Bombers at halftime.

It was the second touchdown of the quarter for the visitors. Earlier, Edmonton Mike Reilly connected with Adarius Bowman for a 15-yard score that put Edmonton up 17-10.

Bowman, who played two seasons for the Bombers in 2009 and 2010, capped off a five-play, 75-yard drive. His touchdown came after an exchange of field goals. Sean Whyte hit a 29-yard kick for the Eskimos, while Justin Medlock made good from 49 yards out.

FIRST QUARTER

After the first quarter, the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Edmonton Eskimos are tied 7-7 at Investors Group Field.

Winnipeg opened the scoring on the second drive of the game, with quarterback Matt Nichols hitting Weston Dressler in stride for a 49-yard touchdown.

Edmonton answered back on the very next drive, moving the ball 89 yards on 12 plays that ended with a three-yard touchdown run from John White.
