Goaltender Eric Comrie has been recalled by the Winnipeg Jets to set the stage for what could be his NHL debut against the Columbus Blue Jackets Thursday night. The Jets already have goaltenders Connor Hellebuyck and Michael Hutchinson on their active roster.

Comrie, 21, is just completing his second season as a professional with the AHL’s Manitoba Moose. He was sensational Tuesday night, stopping 35 of 36 shots in Manitoba’s 3-1 win over the Grand Rapids Griffins at the MTS Centre.

In 47 games this season, Comrie is 17-25-2 with a 2.98 goals-against average, .906 save percentage and two shutouts. He’s faced 1,443 shots this season, which is the second-most in the AHL. He represented the Moose at the 2016 AHL All-Star Game last season after being selected in the second round (59th overall) in the 2013 NHL Draft.
