Hey there, time traveller!

A Winnipegger who survived the Humboldt Broncos’ bus crash in April will continue his hockey career at the university level.
Matthieu Gomercic has committed to the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and will play forward for the Ridgebacks in the upcoming 2018-19 Ontario University Athletics season.
He is the second Broncos player to head to the Ridgebacks, joining Bryce Fiske in Oshawa, Ont., this winter.
Gomercic, 20, spent two years with Humboldt of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League, recording 47 points in 96 regular-season games. Before that, he played parts of two seasons with the Steinbach Pistons of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.
“We are very excited to add Matthieu to our program,” said Ridgebacks head coach Curtis Hodgins, in a release. “He is a versatile forward who can play all three forward positions if needed and can chip in with some offence, as well. He has a big frame, protects pucks well and plays a complete game, which will fit in nicely with our program.”
Gomercic and Fiske were among 13 players injured when the team’s bus and a semi-trailer collided at an intersection in rural Saskatchewan. Sixteen people on the bus were killed.
The driver of the truck, Jaskirat Singh Sidhu of Calgary, was charged earlier this month with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily injury.
