Hey there, time traveller!

The Winnipeg Goldeyes showed the Lincoln Saltdogs who was boss on Tuesday night, winning 15-10 at Shaw Park.
Goldeyes left-fielder Tyler Hill absolutely tore up the batter’s box, driving in a career-high five RBIs. Hill’s previous best was four, set in 2016 and then matched in 2017, while playing Low-A with Greenville Drive in the South Atlantic League.
“I just locked in, you know? Sometimes you just feel like that. Everything’s been going right, especially with having guys like Wes (Darvill) and Willy (Garcia) back in the lineup. But I mean, it wasn’t just me or Wes or Willy hitting in the game tonight, the whole offence was firing and that was a big game changer,” said Hill.
While the Goldeyes desperately struggled in their series against the Saltdogs last month, remnants of that Goldeyes team were nowhere to be found Tuesday night.
It was the third time this year the Goldeyes scored a season-high 15 runs. The last 15-run game for the Fish came July 13 against the St. Paul Saints, where they won 15-1. The Fish had 19 hits and batted around twice, nearly matching their season high of 20 hits.
Hill, Kevin Garcia and Dominic Ficociello all had three or more hits in Tuesday’s game. The Fish earned their runs in clusters, scoring four runs in the second, five in the fifth and their final six in the sixth.
“We know that every game moving forward is important. So I mean we’re coming out, the guys in the clubhouse, everybody top to bottom knowing that it’s important from here on out and I think that’s the biggest thing,” said Hill.
The Fish will have to prove themselves yet again tonight at Shaw Park, as they take on the Saltdogs for Game 2 of the three-game series. The first pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
