A man sought for the attempted robbery of a Steinbach bank is also suspected of robbing a credit union in another Manitoba community, RCMP say.
The first incident happened Nov. 10, at the TD Canada Trust on Main Street in Steinbach, at approximately 4:55 p.m. The suspect did not obtain any money.
On Nov. 14, Mounties released a security image of the suspect.

The suspect is accused of robbing a bank in Steinbach and Lowe Farm.
Less than an hour after police asked for the public’s help on the case, the Access Credit Union in Lowe Farm (west of Morris) was robbed at about 3:05 p.m., RCMP said Tuesday.
A suspect handed the teller a note demanding money and left the credit union, located on Main Street, with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were seen, RCMP said.
The suspect fled westbound in a light-coloured, four-door sedan believed to have been made between 2004 and 2008.
It was originally believed the suspect had left the scene of the Steinbach attempted robbery in a small black vehicle. Investigators now think the same suspect was responsible for both incidents and used the same light-coloured sedan, RCMP said.
The description of the suspect in the Lowe Farm robbery: six foot, in his mid-20s to mid-30s, with blue eyes, dark eyebrows, a large nose and a slim build. He was wearing a black face covering, a high-visibility vest, blue jeans, a black jacket and black gloves.

Police are asking anyone who has information about the incidents to call Steinbach RCMP at 204-326-4452, Emerson RCMP at 204-373-2505, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
