Crews fought four fires across the city in a 12-hour period ending Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were sent to a blaze at a two-storey home on the 200 block of Powers Street at 7:21 p.m. Monday.
Two neighbouring homes were evacuated, and the fire had to be fought from the outside — using an aerial ladder — because it was unsafe to enter. The fire was deemed under control by 9:15 p.m.

Firefighters were sent to a blaze at a two-storey home in the 200 block of Powers Street at 7:21 p.m. Monday.
No one was injured, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service said in a news release Tuesday morning. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Less than an hour later, fire crews were sent to separate fires at a three-storey apartment building on the first 100 block of Morrow Avenue at 8:12 p.m. and a home on the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue at 8:13 p.m.
The building on Morrow was evacuated, and residents stayed in Winnipeg Transit buses while the fire was extinguished.
One resident was checked by paramedics, but no one was sent to hospital.
It is believed the cause of the fire is related to cooking, the fire department said.
There were no injuries in the Pritchard fire, and residents left the building safely before crews arrived. The fire was deemed under control by 8:25 p.m. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
A fire broke out in a vacant home on the 500 block of Spence Street at 6:38 a.m. Tuesday.

Two neighbouring homes were evacuated, and the fire had to be fought from the outside — using an aerial ladder — because it was unsafe to enter.
Firefighters tried to extinguish the fire from inside but were forced to leave the home as conditions deteriorated. Crews used an aerial ladder to fight the blaze and ordered an emergency demolition of the building because it was unstable.
One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
The cause of the Spence fire is under investigation.
