Hey there, time traveller!

A Winnipeg Transit employee discovered a body early Monday inside a bus shelter at Graham Avenue and Vaughan Street.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service said emergency workers responded after receiving a 911 call from a Transit inspector just after 6 a.m. The individual was assessed and pronounced dead at the scene.
No other details were released.
Some at the same bus stop Monday afternoon said they often felt unsafe while waiting there for Transit.
Agam Kaur, an international student at the University of Manitoba, said unsafe activity feels like “just a normal thing” at the stop, and it wasn’t her first choice for that reason.
“I prefer taking the Edmonton (Street) bus stop, but it’s closed, so I’m waiting here,” she said on her way to the south end school.
Kaur said she will take shelter in nearby businesses to avoid potential situations when things get tense at the bus stop.
“For example, just 10 minutes ago, when I came here, I didn’t feel safe, so I went to the Bison book shop just to… kill my time, and I’m here now,” she said.
Another person waiting at the stop, Harsh Chapatwala, said he hasn’t seen any past violent or illegal activity but had witnessed people acting aggressively.
“There are people who do some crazy (things)… We know that this bus stop or places anywhere near all this, things have happened here,” he said.
In December 2022, in bitter-cold conditions, 27-year-old Kayla Rae was found dead under blankets in a heated bus shelter at Goulet Street and Tache Avenue. Drug paraphernalia was found next to her, said the street outreach team that found the body and called 911.
