Norway House RCMP are searching for a man accused in a home invasion in the northern community earlier this month in which shots rang out.
Officers were called to the home in Norway House Cree Nation at about 8:45 a.m. on May 3, after three men had barged into the home dressed in black, wearing hoodies with bandanas tied tight around their faces, before firing off multiple shots, RCMP said.
The family, including four kids between the ages of six and 13, were home at the time. A woman managed to get two of the kids out of the home, but two remained inside, police said.

A 50-year-old man who lives at the home was stabbed when he confronted the men. He was seriously hurt but his injuries were not life-threatening, RCMP said. None of the children were injured.
RCMP said the three men in black then fled the house, joining three other men waiting outside.
Police have identified six suspects, five of whom were arrested. One is from Moose Lake, while the rest are from Norway House.
All will be charged with firearms and weapons offences, as well as aggravated assault, robbery with a gun and breaking and entering.
Officers also seized a sawed-off shotgun, but haven’t yet determined if it was used in the home invasion.
RCMP are looking for Evan Cromarty, 29, who was already wanted on four warrants before the home invasion. He’s six feet tall and 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Mounties believe he’s still in Norway House and ask anyone with information to call the local detachment at 204-359-6483 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
