The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed a speedy depth forward.
The NHL club announced Axel Jonsson-Fjallby has agreed to a two-year contract, with an annual cap hit of US$775,000. The deal is a two-way contract in 2023-24 and a one-way contract in 2024-25.
He would have to pass through waivers if the Jets send him to the American Hockey League, and his salary would be less in the minors.

Jonsson-Fjallby, 25, played 50 games for Winnipeg in 2022-23 and registered 14 points (6G, 8A) and eight penalty minutes.
The product of Stockholm, Sweden was claimed off waivers from the Washington Capitals last October and also suited up for four games with the Manitoba Moose.

The Jets will have some of their future on display this week as they host their summer development camp.
A total of 17 drafted prospects, along with 10 free agent invites, will be skating at the former Iceplex (now known as the hockey for all centre) Wednesday through Saturday.
All on-ice sessions are open to the public and free of charge.
The five newest members of the organization who were just selected last week in Nashville will all participate. Forwards Colby Barlow (first round), Zach Nehring (third round), Jacob Julien (fifth round) and Connor Levis (seventh round), and goaltender Thomas Milic (fifth rounder).
Other players to watch include 2022 first-rounders Rutger McGroarty and Brad Lambert and 2021 first-rounder Chaz Lucius. Defenceman Elias Salomonsson, taken in the second round last year, will be making his North American debut, as will intriguing Russian forward Nikita Chibrikov, who was taken in the second round in 2021.
Reigning Ontario Hockey League goaltender of the year Dominic DiVincentiis will also be present.
They’ll be put through the paces by members of the Jets and Manitoba Moose coaching staffs.
The skates begin at 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday and Friday, and 10 a.m. on Thursday and Saturday.
