The Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba has nominated a candidate to challenge NDP Leader Wab Kinew for his Fort Rouge seat.
Rejeanne Caron, a Winnipeg Police Service officer and perennial Tory candidate in provincial and federal races, will challenge the incumbent Kinew in the Oct. 3 election.
A PC party press release described Caron as “a proud Métis woman and a mother” and one of three Tory nominees who are former or current police officers. It said the party has 40 candidates ready to run and will have a full slate of 57 candidates in the coming weeks.

Neither the Manitoba Liberals nor the Green Party of Manitoba has posted nominees to run in Fort Rouge as of yet.
