One person has died after a fire broke out in a three-storey multi-unit building on the 200 block of Beacon Street Monday morning.
JOHN WOODS / WINNIPEG FREE PRESS One person has died after a fire broke out in a three-storey multi-unit building on the 200 block of Beacon Street Monday morning.
The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and Winnipeg Police Service were on scene just past 10 a.m., and entered the building to find residents inside. One person was found dead.
The fire was declared under control by 10:26 a.m. and the cause of the fire is currently being investigated.
The night before, a vacant house in the 400 block of Flora Avenue caught fire at around 9:35 p.m. Sunday.
The fire was declared under control 17 minutes later. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
