Elections Manitoba has invited voters to register or update their information by 8 p.m. Thursday.
While Manitobans can still register at a polling station when they vote, the process is faster and easier when registered prior to an election, said a Wednesday news release from the independent office of the legislative assembly responsible for the administration of provincial elections.
Registered voters will receive a voter information card in the mail.
Voters who have not received their cards or received a card with incorrect information can visit electionsmanitoba.ca or contact their local election office to register or update their information until 8 p.m. Thursday, Elections Manitoba said.
Voters are encouraged to bring their voter information card, which can be used as one piece of ID.
All voters require ID to vote. There are many options. A complete list of acceptable ID and information about how to register to vote is available at electionsmanitoba.ca.
Advance voting runs for eight days, from Sept. 23-30. Election day is Oct. 3.
