A man accused in two shootings in central Winnipeg in March that left a woman dead and six others badly injured has been arrested in Hanover.
Winnipeg Police Service homicide detectives alleged in April that Martin Faruq Luther, 18, was involved in the March 7 shootings.
Luther was wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder, five counts each of attempted murder and aggravated assault and two counts of failing to attend court but evaded police for nearly six months.

Winnipeg police detectives, along with Steinbach RCMP, found Luther in Hanover on Tuesday, where he was arrested. He remains in custody.
A co-accused in the shootings, a 17-year-old boy, was charged with second-degree murder and other offences on April 13.
Patrol officers found Lori Gordon, 49, and another woman who had been shot in a lane behind the 400 block of Beverley Street at about 6 a.m. on March 7.
Gordon was dead, while the other woman was transported to hospital and later upgraded to stable condition.
Earlier, at about 2:15 a.m., officers went to the 600 block of Spence Street after a quadruple shooting. Four men — two in their 20s and two in their 30s — were taken to hospital and eventually stabilized.
