The city might help a private girls’ school pay for a winter access ramp to a river trail, after all.
On Wednesday, the city centre community committee voted to provide $12,550 to help cover the ramp’s $17,800 cost. The decision comes despite a city staff recommendation that the funding be denied because the project does not meet criteria for land dedication reserve funding, including the fact it isn’t on city-owned land.
To be finalized, the decision requires council approval.

The community committee voted to waive the criteria and provide the funding.
