Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 24/11/2023 (1044 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.
Sandy Conrad will never forget the Sunday afternoon last year when she found her husband of 50 years, Paul, unconscious and taking his last breaths on top of their bed.
Paul was in Code Blue, cardiac arrest, from what turned out to be a 100% blockage of his left main coronary artery.
That Paul survived that day is something Sandy says was nothing short of a miracle.
He was rushed to St. Boniface Hospital’s Emergency Department, where he received emergency cardiac surgery, after which doctors placed him in a medically induced coma for three days.
St. Boniface Hospital’s Emergency Department is undergoing a major redevelopment and expansion project, scheduled to open in 2025. When it does, it will transform the footprint of our facility and ensure we can better support compassion in every interaction.
As a community, we have almost reached our Emergency Department campaign goal. You can help St. B cross the finish line with a gift this GivingTuesday, November 28.
Your gift will allow St. B to add rooms and features to the building project that may not have been possible otherwise. As a donor, you have the power to meet the increasingly complex needs of critically ill patients in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.
Double your impact today! Canada Life is matching all gifts to our new Emergency Department until the end of the year, up to $150,000.
Triple your impact this GivingTuesday, November 28! Join Canada Life with Sandy and Paul Conrad this GivingTuesday to make your gift work 3x harder for our new Emergency Department.
Support our Emergency Department redevelopment.
