The University of Manitoba Bisons had so much fun knocking off the No. 1-ranked Trinity Western Spartans Friday night they decided to do it again 24 hours later.
With left side Raya Surinx registering 20 kills, four service aces and 13 digs, the eighth-ranked Bisons rallied to beat the Spartans 3-2 (18-25, 25-10, 18-25, 25-17 15-7) in Canada West women’s volleyball action at Investors Group Athletic Centre Saturday night.
Ella Gray had 10 kills for the winners while teammates Light Uchechuksu and Brenna Bedosky added nine and seven kills, respectively.

Manitoba left side Ella Gray had 10 kills in Saturday’s comeback win over Trinity Western.
The Bisons improved to 14-2 in conference play while the Spartans dropped to 12-2.
Trinity Western received 19 kills and three service aces from Maryn Boldon while Kaylee Plouffe chipped in with eight kills
In a early men’s game, Trinity Western completed a weekend sweep of Manitoba with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-17) triumph.
Henry Rempel had 12 kills for the Spartans, who improved to 8-6 on the season. Manitoba, with six kills apiece from Kai Boyko and Spencer Grahame, fell to 10-6.
