Hey there, time traveller!

A technical problem interrupted public access to some key city services for a few hours Friday morning, including Winnipeg Transit’s Peggo fare sales and app, 311 calls and some library offerings.
The City of Winnipeg confirmed the service lapse in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.
“311 is experiencing unexpected issues and is not able to take calls at this time. We are working to resolve the issues as soon as possible,” the post stated.
Winnipeg Transit posted a list of related issues on X close to 11 a.m., noting it was “experiencing unexpected technical issues impacting our website, app, and Peggo fare sales.”
Around 10:30 a.m., the Winnipeg Public Library noted its services were also affected, since computers and printers were offline.
During a 9 a.m. historical buildings and resources committee meeting, members could not access the online agenda, leading one member to read aloud from a previously printed copy.
City staff and councillors also lost email access at times.
Around 11 a.m., services began to slowly resume, though some city website pages weren’t accessible until at least noon.
The city stressed the problem was caused by a “hardware” failure, not a security threat.
