Police are searching for a suspect who groped six women from behind over a span of four nights.
The first incident happened in the first 100 hundred block of Balmoral Street at about 6 p.m. Wednesday. The second happened in the area of Main Street and Assiniboine Avenue about an hour later.
The third incident happened in the area of Ellice Avenue and Hargrave Street at about 9:50 p.m. Thursday. Another woman was groped in the first 100 hundred block of Edmonton Street at about 7 p.m. Friday.
The final incident happened in the area of Granite Way and Osborne Street at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police said Tuesday investigators are working to obtain a clear security image of the suspect, who is described as light-skinned, about 5-4 to 5-8 in height, with a thin build. He was wearing a hoodie and possibly eyeglasses, a news release said.
The Winnipeg Police Service is asking anyone with information regarding the suspect or who has home or security video from the areas to contact the sex crimes unit at 204-986-6245, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or online.
