Hey there, time traveller!

A semi-trailer driver was rushed to hospital after his vehicle left an overpass, striking and derailing a freight train underneath at the Perimeter Highway and Fermor Avenue late Friday afternoon.
Winnipeg police are warning motorists to avoid the area because all southbound access and lanes on the Perimeter Highway are blocked at Fermor Avenue. A single northbound lane is open.
“It appears the semi hit the train,” said Winnipeg police spokeswoman Dani McKinnon. “There is going to be an extensive closure (of roads) in the area for some time.”

The site of a train derailment and semi-trailer collision at Fermor and the Perimeter Highway Friday.
McKinnon said she did not know the condition of the truck driver, but the STARS helicopter ambulance was transporting the driver to hospital.
She said there are no reports of hazardous materials on the train.
The intersection is the major eastern gateway to and from Winnipeg on the Trans-Canada Highway.
CN Rail spokeswoman Ashley Michnowski confirmed the derailment happened “when a truck left the overpass and struck the train.”
“There are no leaks or fires reported and no risk to the public,” Michnowski said.
