Police have arrested two males and are searching for a third in connection with armed break-and-enters in western Manitoba this week.

The three incidents happened in the Rural Municipality of North Norfolk between about 3:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

The suspects gained access to shops on the properties and stole all-terrain vehicles, power tools and a pickup truck.

SUPPLIED

James Allan Roulette, 20, of Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation, is being sought in connection with rural break-ins.

RCMP obtained a search warrant for a home in Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation and raided it Thursday. Officers seized stolen items, including a Dodge Ram 2500, a Can-Am Outlander, an air compressor and a battery charger. They also seized a “significant amount of methamphetamine” and more than $4,000 in cash.

The Ram was among the items stolen in the Sunday break-ins. RCMP spokeswoman Michelle Lissel said Friday that investigators are not yet sure whether all the seized items are from the three break-ins.

Police arrested Jodee Roulette, 18, and a 16-year-old male. They are both charged with two counts each of breaking and entering with intent and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and single counts of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for James Allan Roulette, 20. He is described as 6-2 in height, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be in the Sandy Bay area or possibly Winnipeg.

All three males live in Sandy Bay, RCMP said.

It’s not clear how many suspects were involved in the break-ins. RCMP said Monday that one person involved was arrested Sunday and released images of four culprits. One image appeared to show a man holding a rifle.

Lissel said Mounties are still investigating to determine whether any other suspects were involved in the thefts.

The person arrested Sunday was a 17-year-old female from Sandy Bay. She was arrested by the Manitoba First Nations Police Service, who said Thursday that she was the lone driver of a stolen Ford truck. She has since been charged with four counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm and single counts of flight from a peace officer and dangerous driving. She was released with numerous court-ordered conditions.
