The Winnipeg Police Service has released details of a raid at a Roslyn Road house early Wednesday.

Guns and gangs investigators executed two search warrants at 135 Roslyn and on a Mitsubishi vehicle parked on the property, police said Thursday.

The warrants came as part of an investigation into alleged drug trafficking at the residence.

Officers, including the tactical team, used tear gas to coax people out from the bungalow.

Police arrested four individuals who were in the house, but charged only two of them.

Officers seized a loaded .40 calibre handgun, ammunition, 746 grams of heroin, 367 grams of cocaine, 396 grams of fentanyl, 67 grams of meth and more than $1,200 in cash, along with a scale and drug-trafficking paraphernalia.

A 37-year-old man, whose name has not been released, is charged with firearms, drug-trafficking and other offences. A 36-year-old woman, whose name also wasn’t released, is charged with several drug-trafficking offences.

They are in custody.

Neighbours told the Free Press Wednesday the bungalow appeared to be the site of drug deals and other illicit activity, and they were pleased to see police take action.

They said the residents of the house recently put in security cameras on the exterior and sign warning of a “dangerous dog.”

The police action at the house, adjacent to a Shell gas bar, closed Roslyn Road to traffic throughout much of Wednesday’s morning rush hour.
