Investigators with the police oversight agency are probing a crash, following a brief police pursuit, that sent three people to hospital.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba has taken over the investigation into the three-vehicle collision at Inkster Boulevard and Arlington Street Wednesday.
At least one person was seriously injured, the IIU said.

Three people were taken to hospital after an accident at the intersection of Inkster Boulevard and Arlington Street Wednesday morning.
The IIU said the Winnipeg Police Service notified the agency Wednesday. The notification said a man had stolen a tanker truck from the 900 block of Main Street at about 9:17 a.m.
Officers found the vehicle near Salter Street and Jefferson Avenue at about 9:26 a.m. and pursued it for about three minutes, when the duty officer in charge advised them to stop, the IIU said.
After the chase ended, the thief collided with two vehicles in the intersection, the IIU said.
The driver, who wasn’t hurt, was arrested and is being held by police.
The IIU, which investigates incidents involving police that result in serious injuries, has asked anyone with potentially relevant information or with video footage to call their office toll-free at 1-844-667-6060.
