A former restaurant on Main Street is set to be demolished after a fire broke out for the second time in less than a week.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews responded to reports of a fire at Boujee Restaurant and Bar, a vacant, single-storey building on the 100 block of Main Street shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday. The same building was most recently damaged in a fire last Sunday.
At the scene, crews found heavy smoke coming from the building. After attacking the fire using aerial ladders that sprayed water from above, firefighters arranged an emergency demolition of the building. Demolition is expected to be completed today, the WFPS said in a news release.

Firefighters responded to a blaze at Boujee Restaurant and Bar around 6 a.m. Saturday.
No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
It marks the third time in 10 months that a fire has broken out in the building. The same building was previously damaged in an October 2025 fire. Boujee has been closed ever since.
Restaurateur Amit Saini and his business partners opened Boujee in the building, which was formerly an Earls location, in April 2024.
The Boujee fire was the second of two blazes that WFPS crews responded to in the early hours of Saturday. Firefighters also battled a fire in a vacant and boarded house on the 1500 block of Catharine Avenue.
Crews found flames and smoke coming from the house. They declared the fire under control at 3:30 a.m.

The restaurant is expected to be demolished Saturday.
As with the Boujee fire, no injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation.
