WINNIPEG – Kevin Lamoureux resigned today as provincial MLA for Inkster.
Lamoureux met Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba George Hickes to submit his letter of resignation so he may focus on his campaign in the Winnipeg North federal by-election.
Lamoueux served as MLA for about 20 years and is running as the Liberal candidate. Kevin Chief is the NDP candidate. The Conservative candidate is Julie Javier.
The Winnipeg North by-election is Nov. 29.
