“ö Today — In Toronto, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty will talk about the government’s plans to build and finance modern infrastructure at the 16th annual National Conference on Public-Private Partnerships, and in London, British Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling releases a pre-budget report expected to show the impact of the global financial crisis on the British economy.

“ö Tuesday — In Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases retail sales figures for September, and in Washington, U.S. real GDP report and corporate profits report for the third quarter will be released.

“ö Wednesday — in Washington, the U.S. help-wanted index report for October will be released, as will the U.S. initial jobless claims report for the week of Nov. 22.

“ö Thursday — In Ottawa, Finance Minister Jim Flaherty delivers his economic update, and in the U.S., markets are closed for Thanksgiving Day.

“ö Friday — In Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases data on payroll employment, earnings and hours for September.
