Simplot Canada Ltd. has been honoured for being a supportive employer of military reservists.
It received the award for Most Supportive Employer, Manitoba at a ceremony at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa Friday.
The National Employer Support Awards were presented by the Canadian Forces Liaison Council to recognize and honour government, business and educational institutions for their support of the primary Reserve Force.
Simplot was nominated by Portage la Prairie’s Master Bombardier Robert Orchard of 13 Field Battery, 26 Field Artillery.
Fifteen organizations across Canada received awards for their outstanding support to Canada’s Reserve Force.
