PEOPLE

Karla King

has joined Higgins International, an aboriginal executive search firm, as research and recruitment administrator. King brings experience in various areas of human resources, including executive search, executive coaching, psychometric assessments, training and development, and disability claims. She is a certified human resources professional (C.H.R.P.) candidate and has completed her human resources management certificate with honours from Red River College.

 

Christa Walkden

has joined Meyers Norris Penny as senior manager in the taxation services practice. Walkden specializes in resolving complex U.S. tax matters from a Canadian perspective. She works with her clients to respond to inquiries from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and state tax authorities.

 

Gordon McAlpine

has been appointed practice leader, organizational effectiveness, at People First HR Services. A senior member of the consulting team since 2001, McAlpine brings 25 years’ experience in human resources.

 

Ken McIntyre

has joined Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg as communications manager. McIntyre has worked for local, national and international clients in a variety of industries, including not-for-profit organizations.

 

Lisa Duxbury

has joined Heather Sarna & Associates as director of interior design. Duxbury brings an extensive knowledge in residential and commercial interior design, having received her bachelor of interior design from the University of Manitoba. She will be responsible for all aspects of HSA Design’s interior design projects, from conceptual development through construction.

 

Daniel Adelman

Infiniti sales team leader at Birchwood Infiniti Nissan, has been promoted to general sales team leader within the store. Adelman brings 20 years of leadership, sales and marketing experience from his time in the high-end furniture business.

 

Volker Flach

is now a certified professional bookkeeper. The Institute of Professional Bookkeepers of Canada announced his certification. Flach works for Clearline Books.
