WINNIPEG – Bath & Body Works is coming to Winnipeg.

The U.S.-based chain of more than 1,600 stores that features shower gels, lotions, candles and accessories is building a 2,750 square foot store in St. Vital Centre.

The signage isn’t up yet and mall manager Cheryl Mazur could not say when it would be opening, but it likely won’t be long.

“We’re thrilled they have decided to come to Winnipeg,” she said. “It’s nice to see more retailers looking at Winnipeg and realizing it is a good market.”

Bath & Body Works has now opened 31 stores in Canada with another eight under construction.

The chain is owned by Limited Brands Inc. out of Columbus, Ohio that also owns Victoria’s Secret, La Senza and a couple of other U.S. chains.
