Hey there, time traveller!

A Quebec-based company has started construction on a Nordik Spa at a Winnipeg golf course.
In fall 2010, city council voted to allow a Quebec spa operator to lease land at the Crescent Drive golf course. The spa was initially slated to open in late 2012.
This afternoon, company officials released a press release saying construction on the project has started. The statement attributed the delay due to changes in the project’s plans.
“The beginning of the construction was delayed because we wanted to add several items to improve the experience of our clients, and thus exceed expectations,” the press release said.
The statement said the cost of the project has also risen to $8.5 million from $6.5 million.
The spa is now expected to open in spring 2013, and create more than 50 new jobs.
